How should my 2XU Compression garments fit?

Your 2XU Compression garment should fit the body snugly and firmly without uncomfortably ‘cutting in’ to the body. If this is the case, you should review your size choice.

For upper body garments, a free range of movement in the shoulders is essential, as is comfort in the underarms.

For specific sizing, please refer to our size chart below, taking into consideration that if you’re near the borderline for sizes or you wish to wear your compression garment primarily for recovery purposes, be sure to choose the smaller size where possible.

There is no doubt that compression clothing helps improve circulation, it is proven technology that has been used for years. You may have noticed your grandmother wearing compression stockings decades ago. Compression garments are commonly used in the medical community to help improve circulation post-surgery, prevent blog clot formation, reduce fluid retention and swelling, and speed injury recovery.

Sport compression garments generally promise two things; improved performance and improved recovery.  Do not expect to knock minutes off of your next race with just any clothing item, but the Elite tights have provide long term value during your work outs, allowing more frequent, harder workouts.  During high intensity intervals that require recovery periods between efforts any increase in venous return is welcome as waste products are more quickly flushed out.  By improving circulation, recovery is also be improved.  2XU compression products aid in endurance and may reduce muscle vibration and trauma.  Eccentric contractions (ex. downhill running) are the most damaging.  When viewed in slow motion you can see how the working leg muscles stiffen and vibrate upon impact, with 2XU a marked reduction in muscle vibrations occur while wearing the tights.
