CineSpinner™ animated suncatchers come to life and animate continuously as they gently rotate in a window.

CineSpinners™, Kineticards™, and Scanimation® rulers, are not holograms, nor are they lenticular in nature. These elegant little movie machines rival the classic motion picture toys of a century ago.

They are based on a recently patented application of ancient optical principles that combines parallax perception with moire-line type patterns to create the illusion of fluid motion. When the striped decoder layer is moved in one direction across the face of the image layer (either by hand or by a rotating motion), a series of sequential, still pictures are revealed one by one to the eye. Your brain links this succession of images together, creating the illusion of movement.
