The Zensah Thigh Sleeve if utilized after a workout or during treatment of
an upper leg injury, will speed up the recovery process by helping to reduce
inflammation and pain.
What is Some of the Technology?
Zensah products such as the Thigh Sleeve feature
graduated compression which
increases circulation and oxygen blood flow. This will minimize swelling and
thereby relieve pain in the intended area. Pin-point compression in the
Thigh Sleeve goes to work on the exact source of the pain offering a
massage-like experience in order to comfort the area while decreasing
recovery time.
What is Some of the Science?
Compression helps stabilize muscle tissue after a workout, keeping the
swelling of muscle fibers at a micro and manageable level. The compression
support of the Thigh Sleeve helps the hamstring and quadriceps muscles to
rebuild themselves after a workout or injury, leading to a faster recovery.
Gravity can cause a build-up of fluid in the muscles and surrounding tissue,
especially after exercise or in an area that is inactive because of injury.
This build-up of fluid increases swelling and increases recovery time. The
Zensah Thigh Sleeve helps reduce inflammation in the upper leg in order to
decrease recovery time and get the athlete back into action.
Who Can Benefit From the Zensah Thigh Sleeve?

For years athletes have known about the benefits of recovery bars, and
drinks. Now a start-up company From Miami, Florida called Zensah® has
developed recovery leg sleeves using a special knitting process and fabric.
Zensah® has developed these recovery leg sleeves using a special
knitting process and fabric.
Why
Zensah® Compression?
Compression helps stabilize muscle tissue after a workout, keeping the swelling
of muscle fibers at a micro and manageable level, allowing the muscles to
rebuild themselves.
The beauty of compression support is that it lets the athlete wake up the next
day feeling fresh instead of feeling aches and pains. This is how athletes get
better, faster and stronger.
Gravity can cause a build-up of fluid in the muscles and surrounding tissue,
especially after exercise, which increases swelling and increases recovery time.
Compression helps reduce inflammation that might slow down the recovery process
and therefore helps reduce Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness (DOMS).
Athletes always tell us they love the comfort they experience when wearing
Zensah. The seamless design is the staple of all of our products and it results
in our proprietary Zensah Fabric®. It is the softest material in the market.

heaviest amount of compression and lessen towards the top.
-
Forces the blood flow back into the calf alleviating lactic acid
accumulation
-
Eliminates muscle exhaustion from restricted blood flow
Allows oxygen to circulate
Self-care
If you have shin splints, try the R.I.C.E. method for self-care — rest, ice,
compression, elevation.
- Rest. Avoid activities that cause
pain, swelling or discomfort. But don't avoid all physical activity. Instead,
give yourself relative rest. That means reducing the duration and frequency of
your high-impact athletic activities. Just how far you cut back depends on the
severity of your pain. For a while, you may need to switch to low-impact
exercises, such as swimming, bicycling or water running. If your shin pain is
severe and causes you to limp, you may need to use crutches until you can walk
normally without pain. When you resume your activities, ease back into them.
If you don't, your symptoms may return.
- Ice. For at least several days after
injury and as long as there is any swelling, apply an ice pack to the painful
area for 15 minutes several times a day. Cold reduces pain, swelling and
inflammation in injured muscles, joints and connective tissues.
- Compression. Compress the area with a
compression sleeve to help control swelling and improve
symptoms. A compression sleeve is especially helpful if sore muscles are the
main cause of your pain. If you use an elastic bandage, don't wrap it too
tightly or you may hinder circulation. Begin wrapping at the end farthest from
your heart. Loosen the wrap if the pain increases, the area becomes numb or
swelling is occurring below the wrapped area.
- Elevation. To reduce swelling,
elevate the injured area above the level of your heart, especially at night.
Gravity helps reduce swelling by draining excess fluid.
